DIY Pre-Cut Kit: Holiday Kit

Watch the tutorial here —-> https://youtu.be/Jll3VZaJu4A

Hello! In this tutorial I’m going to walk you through the steps of creating this sign & 3D shelf sitter snowflake.

If you have not already, you can purchase the kit here.

Included in your kit you will find 2 pieces to the snowflake, frame, sign backer & random scrapbook paper.

For the snowflake, paint both sides as desired. Once dry, put a dab of glue where the flakes interlock. Let dry.

For the sign, you get the option of a white backer or raw wood one. If either of these are how you want them, then you are done. But you can always add your own spin on things. For the white, consider sanding the paint off for a more rustic look. For the wood, consider staining it. I used Annie Sloan dark wax on one. It turned out great.

Next, to attach the scrapbook paper to the backer, simply spray the backside of the board lightly with spray glue. Lay your scrapbook paper on the glue. Image side up so you see the design through the front of your backer.

Paint or stain your frame in your chosen color & style. Shown with Annie Sloan Dark Wax.

Once dry, rough fit frame and backer together. Then one by one take a frame side off, line with a bead of glue, replace. You can use painters tape, clamps, or rubber bands to help keep your frame square in needed during this process. Let dry.

And your done! I hope you enjoyed this project! You can find other DIY Kits on our website here.
